Robert A. Gott, was born, raised, and educated in the Buffalo area. He is the owner of the Red Dragon School of Martial Arts located in the McKinley Mall just south of Buffalo, New York where he teaches martial arts full time. Robert began his journey in the martial arts in 1971. His experience includes Judo, Kenpo Karate, Hung Gar Kung Fu, Chen Style Tai Chi, and Yang Style Tai Chi. With over thirty five years of experience, his teachers include Master Ting Fong Wong, Master Norm Mandarino, Grand Master Yang Zhen Duo, and Master Yang Jun. He has competed locally, nationally, and internationally and his most significant |
accomplishment is winning two gold and one silver medal at the last Yang Family Style Invitational Tournament held in Shangxi Province, China. He is very proud and honored to represent the Yang Family in providing a wonderful contribution to the health and well being of the community. |

James Fox is Director of the Buffalo Center. He retired as a SUNY professor after a 30 year academic career and relocated to Eugene, Oregon where he is establishing a new Yang Chengfu Center. James has studied tai chi chuan since 1982 and has been a student of the Yang Zhenduo and Yang Jun since 1996. Following a strong interest in medicine, health and wellness, he pursued post-doctoral studies in traditional Chinese medicine at Huazhong University in Wuhan, China and will graduate in June 2007 with a new Ph.D. James plans to pursue research opportunities that compare eastern and western treatment modalities for a range of chronic disorders, and to promote tai chi chuan and qigong for health maintenance and improvement. |
