Duan Wang

Associate Instructor
In searching for an exercise to pursue until older, Tai Chi was the one I choose. In 2006, I started Tai Chi
practice through a wellness program offered at Stanford University. I was impressed by the beauty of
Tai Chi at the first class. Since then I have learned simplified 24 form, sword, traditional Chen style Tai
Chi and other forms of Tai Chi and qi gong exercises. I attended many Tai Chi seminars by well-known
Tai Chi masters and instructors. Fortunately in 2013, we found Master Yang Jun and since then have
focused on traditional Yang Family Tai Chi.
I graduated from college with a BS in mathematics and taught mathematics and computer languages at
a community college in China. Since coming to the US, I have worked as an IT support and clinical
system analyst.
Since May of 2021 I teach the Yang Family Tai Chi Traditional Form at Stocklmeir Elementary School in
Sunnyvale, California, USA on Saturday morning 9am–11am for beginner and intermediate groups. It is open to anyone interested in learning Yang Family Tai Chi.
