IMO I would like to say that the Wu style is better for elders is because it doesn't require to the practitioner to lift up the legs too much.
The Sun style is good for the general public and the middle age people.
The Yang Style is best exercise for healthy people to get even more healthier. The movements are require the practitioner to put lots of stress on the legs by standing on one leg at a time. In addition, it is a good exercise for muscle tone and martial arts.
The Chen style is the hardest to practice. It does lots of muscle twitching, in every move, which develops lots of jin(勁) in the body. It takes lots of patience and concentration in the practice.
A deep discussion requires explicit details for a good comprehension of a complex subject.
