Vera Lazzeri

Certified Instructor, Affiliated School Director of Shuangbaotai

Born in Pisa on 9/2/1947. Degree in Medicine and Surgery with the Università degli studi of Florence. Specialized in Urology with the Università degli Studi of Genoa. Certificate of scientific degree with the Free University of Bruxelles for the course organized by the WHO on METHODS OF MEDICAL STATISTIC AND EPIDEMIOLOGY. Specialized in Preventive Hygiene and Medicine with the Università degli Studi of Florence. Diploma of Traditional Acupuncture with the Traditional Acupuncture School of the City of Florence.

Ever since the University years, she has committed her free time in sporting-recreational activities such as karate, body expression, psychomotion, eutony, ending up with the exercise related to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong and Taijiquan. She has been practising Yang style Taijiquan since 1999. She has been studying the Yang Family Style since 2001.

In July 2001, she sojourned one month in Seattle (US) and she had the opportunity to study with Master Yang Jun, President of the International Association and direct descendant of the Yang family, 6ª generation.

In the fall 2002, with her sister Roberta Lazzeri, founded an Association named Shuāngbāotāi to hold Yang Style taijiquan courses in Florence. With her sister, she translates The Journal of the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association into Italian for their website.

She assisted her sister, Roberta Lazzeri, from October 2002 to December 2005 in her courses held in Florence. She took part every year till 2006 in the adjournment seminars of the international association held by Master Yang Zhenduo and Master Yang Jun. From 2006, she lives in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she practices Acupuncture and teaches Taijiquan.
