Bob Ashmore

Bob is a co-founder and Affiliated Director of Everyday Taiji Cooperative, LLC. Everyday Taiji Cooperative holds regular classes in Frankfort, Georgetown and Lexington, KY.

Bob Ashmore was born in 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.

Bob began his Tai Chi Chuan journey in 1985, when he began taking classes in Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan in Detroit. His instructor was Kevin Measle, he learned the 108 posture hand form and push hands.

Bob began taking classes at Wu’s Tai Chi Chuan Academy/Detroit with disciples of Grand Master Eddie Wu Kwong Yu in 1988.

He trained in the Wu Chien Chuan style of Tai Chi Chuan, learning the 108 posture hand form, the 108 posture saber form, the spear/staff form and push hands, until he moved to Kentucky in 1997.

Bob continued to train on his own until he found a group practicing Yang style Tai Chi Chuan in Kentucky in 1999 and began to once again train Yang style Tai Chi Chuan.

Bob has trained Traditional Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan as a member of the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association since 2004, achieving the rank of Golden Eagle in January, 2011.

He has learned the 103 posture hand form, the 13 and 16 posture short forms, the 67 posture sword form, the 13 posture saber form and push hands.

He has attended several seminars with Master Yang Jun. He became an Affiliated Instructor/Director in January, 2012.
