Carl Meeks has studied Japanese and Chinese martial arts since 1971. He has been focused on Yang style Tai Chi Chuan since 1990 and joined the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association in 1999 while taking classes with Han Hoong Wang, Director of the Michigan Center.

Carl became Director of the Louisville Center in 2002 and now serves the Association as the Head of the Division of Education and Training, Chairperson of the Instructor Advisory Board, Department Head of the Tai Chi Chuan Teacher Training Academy and the Department of Training Standards.

Carl teaches credit and non-credit Tai Chi classes at the University of Louisville and continuing education classes at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and for public schools.
