Holly Sweeney-Hillman

HOLLY SWEENEY-HILLMAN is TTM faculty, Anatomy and Biomechanics, academic coordinator and Co-Director of the Teachers Academy USA.  Holly has a degree in dance and graphic arts from The University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA and a Masters degree in orthopedic biomechanics from New York University.
 
She is a certified Alexander Technique teacher and practicing CranioSacral therapist. Holly has worked as a dance teacher, ergonomic consultant, director of a non-profit organization dedicated to orthopedic health and adjunct professor of Tai Chi Chuan at Kean University, Union, NJ. Her traditional Yang family tai chi training began with Bill Walsh in New York City in 1994. She became an IYFTCCA Center Director in 2002 and has served on the Academic Committee for the International Tai Chi Chuan Symposiums in 2014 and 2019.
 
She became a Senior Instructor in 2019. She has wri7en numerous articles on the biomechanics of tai chi for the International Journal of Tai Chi Chuan. In addition to tai chi, she practices the movement arts of horse riding and recurve bow archery. She was inducted in 2015 as a direct disciple of Grandmaster Yang Jun, receiving the name Yang Yahui. She currently resides and teaches tai chi in New Jersey.
