I have a question for ya'll. I'm curious as to how you perform the pulling (da lu) exercise with a partner. The reason I ask is I have seen a couple of clips off the web, but everyone seems to do it differently. Are there variations off of Da lu or is there suppose to be one specific way to perform this?
What I'm really interested in specifically is the footwork part. I have seen some people step straight back (almost backwards) as they pull, and I have seen others step back to the oblique as they pull. My study of this is to step back to the oblique, and as I turn my waste slightly, I also pull with one hand on the wrist and the other on the bicep (upper arm) simultaneous. Anyone have any video clips of this exercise?
